This is a rare find from 1870, a very slinky mesh weave bracelet that embraces the wrist as it has an embellished slide mechanism adjusting to the wrist size of the wearer and ending in 12 tassels. The main decoration of the bracelet has a black enamel circle with a seeded Pearl in the center to offset the gold. The flower of the Edelweiss is depicted as a symbol of love and devotion. The bracelet is very flexible and comfortable to wear, feeling like silk, apart from being over 100 years old.
Despite its age, this bracelet shows no damage from wear.
